Mileševa Monastery
The Mileshev Monastery was founded by King Vladislav in the first half of the 13 th century. This temple received a reputation and high position in the church hierarchy due to the fact that the body of St. Sava was buried here.
The exact time of the construction of the church is not known. According to some sources, the monastery began to be built in 1234, although some details of the fresco indicate that this could have happened before, when Vladislav was only a prince and owned the church parish of the Black Rock.
The Turks captured the monastery in 1459 and burned it, but soon the monastery was restored. In the 16th century, pilgrims from Russia arrived in the monastery with gifts from Ivan the Terrible, and in 1594 the Turks again captured the monastery and publicly burned the relics of St. Sava. In 1863 the monastery was rebuilt.
The monastery was widely known to the monastery by its unique frescoes, the most famous of which is the “White Angel” – one of the greatest masterpieces of Serbian culture.
El Paso City Park
El Paso City’s theme park is named after the border town of the U.S. is named after the U.S. Just as the Rio Grande River forms a natural border between the United States and Mexico, the river flowing through the El Paso City complex on Zlatibor, separates two thematic blocks into the American and Serbian parts. On the American side is the city of cowboys and Indians, and on the other - the Serbian village of Zlatibor, which demonstrates the settlement of the 19 century. Each house in the village is named after the Serbian celebrity. In the cowboy town you can see copies of the buildings of the Wild West - bank, post office, sheriff office and prison. The Indian village of the wagons-wigwam is located on a hill and is surrounded by a pine forest.
Zlatar Mountain
The name of this mountain is consonant with the name of the precious metal, and this is completely justified by its unique nature.
Zlatar’s treasures are hidden in its fragrant fields and clean lakes surrounded by Serbian fir trees and birches. The combination of Mediterranean and mountain climates provides this place with a large number of sunny days throughout the year, as well as air enriched with terpenhin and oxygen.
Picturesque vegetation and unsurpassed views, adorning the landscape of the transparent rivers Lim, Uvats and Bistrica - all this makes Zlatar an attractive place for those who want to calmly spend time in nature, and for those who love active holidays.
