Please note! Citizens of the Russian Federation can stay on the territory of Montenegro without visas for no more than 30 days if they have a valid foreign passport.
* To stay in Montenegro for more than 30 days, Russians must obtain a multiple-entry visa for three months at the Embassy of Montenegro.
For citizens of Armenia and Kazakhstan from 01.04 to 31.10 visa-free entry is valid for 30 days.
For citizens of Belarus, there is a visa-free entry for 30 days (must have a tourist voucher/invitation from a private person).
Citizens of Ukraine from October 24, 2010 can stay on the territory of Montenegro without a visa for up to 90 days inclusive. Only a passport is required for entry.
Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan up to 90 days without a visa. Entry is by passport.
Citizens of Georgia can stay without a visa up to 90 days from 15.06.2018
Citizens of Uzbekistan can stay without a visa up to 30 days from 01.06.-31.10.
Citizens of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan need a visa to travel to Montenegro.
Citizens of the Schengen countries can stay in Montenegro without visa up to 90 days.
As for other citizens of foreign countries not listed on our website, please contact the Consular Section of the Embassy of Montenegro.
Also, we draw your attention to the fact that when a foreign citizen enters the territory of Montenegro with visa or without a visa, it is MANDATORY to register within 24 hours at the Tourist Information Center of the city in which the foreign citizen is directly staying. Tourist information points are located in every city in Montenegro.
Information regarding the procedure for obtaining a visa to Montenegro
Required documents:
- a copy of the passport / international passport (1st page, if the child is entered in the passport of one of the parents and travels with the parents – a copy of this page of the passport with information about the child)!!!
- completed application form (1 copy, downloaded from the site and filled out legibly in Russian or English).
- copy of invitation (if private or business trip), if tourist (copy of confirmation from hotel or travel voucher)
- Two (2) 3×4 cm color photographs (background does not matter).
Visa is considered within 1-2 weeks!
Documents are submitted in person or by notarized power of attorney.
Documents will not be accepted by mail!
The original passport is required when gluing a visa into the passport after obtaining consent to issue a visa to the above citizens.
Rules for entering Montenegro
The passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the end of the trip.
When entering Montenegro with pets (dogs, cats), a certificate from a veterinarian about the origin and state of health of the animal is required, that the animal does not suffer from rabies. The certificate must be issued by a veterinary authority, a doctor. The animal undergoes veterinary control at airports both in your country and Montenegro.
