Information
Lukovska Banja is located in the south of Serbia, on the eastern slopes of Mount Kopaonik. It is located at an altitude of 681 m above sea level and is the highest medical resort in Serbia. Due to the fact that it is surrounded by mountains above 1000 m, Lukovskaya Banya has a favorable temperate climate.
Lukovska Banya is known for its abundance of mineral water springs, untouched nature by the Kopaonik mountain forest and crystal clear air. Based on the number of mineral water springs of different composition, temperature and their capacity (over 100 l/s), Lukovska Banja is considered one of the richest medical resorts in Serbia.
Healing
Based on the research of the Institute of Hydrogeology, as well as the recommendations of the Institute of Balneology of the Faculty of Medicine in Belgrade, the following indications for treatment have been established:
- Inflammatory rheumatism (rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis).
- Degenerative rheumatism (cervical and lumbar osteochondrosis, intervertebral hernia, dyscarthrosis, sciatica, gonarthrosis, coxarthosis, arthrosis, osteoarthritis of small joints of the hand and feet).
- Extra-articular rheumatism (fibrosis, myalgia, bursitis, dislocations, sprains).
- Osteoporosis
- Gout
- All types of sports injuries
- Conditions after bone fractures and surgical interventions on the osteoarticular system.
